The Blackwing Volume 6 Graphite Pencils are serving you classic eighties music video vibes.
You've just been grounded for sneaking out to the local discotheque to practice your dance moves for an upcoming TV show audition. Putting your older brother's big army jacket (yuck!) over your leg warmer, tights, electric blue mini-dress combo, and lacing up your high top sneakers, you pull the hood over your gravity defying teased hair do. Sneaking past as your parent watch Jeopardy with their TV dinners in front of them, you slip into the night on your bicycle. Watching the blue and red neon reflect in the puddles as you pull up to the club, warmed up and ready to bring those high kicks and body rolls to the dance floor. You're ready for your close up.
Each set of the Blacking Volume 6 comes with six neon red and six neon blue pencils inspired by the iconic neon “Open” sign. Each pencil features a black ferrule, black imprint, and our soft graphite. The number 6 is a nod to the six Noble Gases which give neon lights their distinct colours. This release supports the Small Business Relief Fund as they work to help small businesses keep their lights on.
The Blackwing Volume 6 range includes pencils, matching erasers, a Blackwing Limited Release Slate notebook

The Blackwing Volume 6 Story
In 1912, French engineer Georges Claude installed the world’s first neon sign above a barbershop in Paris. His vibrant, tubular lights soon adorned the storefronts of small businesses around the world and symbolised the entrepreneurial drive that formed the backbone of their communities. Today, the spirit of “Main Street” is more resilient than ever. It can be found in urban cities and rural towns, bookstores and coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants. It’s one of the many things that make our homes feel special. And it’s worth preserving.
The Blackwing 6 celebrates independent businesses and their entrepreneurial spirit.
